MCP

The quote, ticket and part operations as Model Context Protocol tools for AI agents.

The same operations for quotes, tickets and parts are available as 9 Model Context Protocol tools at a single endpoint:

https://next.amfg.ai/engine-service/public-api/v1/mcp

It speaks JSON-RPC 2.0 over Streamable HTTP, spec revision 2026-07-28, and still serves 2025-era clients. It uses the same Authorization header as the REST API.

Protocol notes

  • For 2026-07-28 requests, send MCP-Protocol-Version: 2026-07-28 to match params._meta["io.modelcontextprotocol/protocolVersion"].
  • tools/list returns the 9 tools, and tools/call invokes one.
  • A failed operation, such as a validation error or a missing entity, returns a result with isError: true and the original error message. JSON-RPC errors are only for malformed or unknown calls.
